Thomas number one in WPBA for round 3

Swingman Iimar'I Thomas (178-G/F-2000) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Alameda Wolves, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds, while her team beat Swish (#6, 1-2) 79-66. Wolves is placed at 4th position in WPBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Wolves will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Thomas had a remarkable 58.8% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Wolves, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former University of California at Los Angeles star has very solid stats this year. Thomas is league's best scorer averaging so far 34.3ppg. Thomas is in league's top in and averages impressive 65.4% FGP and 45.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Valerie Higgins (185-G-1998) of league's leader Bay City Blaze. Higgins had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds. Of course she led Blaze to another comfortable win 87-69 over Titans (2-1) being unquestionably team leader. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Higgins is one of the most experienced players at Blaze and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.0ppg (#8). Her other stats are also decent: 9.5rpg and 5.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Erica McCall (190-F-1995) of Bay Area Phoenix (#3). McCall scored 23 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Phoenix, leading her team to a 78-66 win against Reign (#7, 0-3). Phoenix needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. McCall has a great season in WPBA. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.0ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 17.0rpg (#1 in league).

8. Alexsis Brown (170-G) of Swish - 24 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Jhaina Stephens (185-F) of Riptide - 20 points and 8 rebounds
10. Jasmine Kong (168-G) of Riptide - 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
