Round 3 (Regular Season): Titans lose their first game against Blaze

Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Valkyrie (2-1) on the court of Blaze on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Blaze 87-69. Blaze dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Valkyrie' 22. Blaze forced 26 Titans turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Blaze made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for guard Valerie Higgins (185-1998, college: Pacific) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Nigerian-American power forward Oderah Chidom (193-1995, college: Duke) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Zhane Duckett (168, college: CS East Bay) with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Blaze are looking forward to face Riptide (#8) in San Francisco in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valkyrie will play on the road against Swish (#6) in Oakland and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Very significant was Wolves' (#5) 79-66 road victory against Swish. It was an exceptional evening for swingman IimarI Thomas (178-2000, college: UCLA) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds. Rebecca Harris accounted for 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Alexsis Brown (170, college: Cal Maritime) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists for Swish in the defeat. Wolves will play against Reign (#7) in Hayward in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Swish will play against Titans to get more than just one victory in their record.
Royals (2-1) crushed at home Riptide (0-3) by 25 points 94-69, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was Mariah Cooks who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Jhaina Stephens who recorded 20 points and 8 rebounds. Royals will meet at home Phoenix (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Riptide will play against Blaze (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 3 winless Reign lost to Phoenix on the opponent's court 66-78.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 23 points and 18 rebounds by Erica McCall of Phoenix.

Very expected game when Reign (0-3) was defeated on the road by Phoenix (2-1) 78-66 on Saturday. Phoenix shot 30 for 42 from the free-throw line, while Reign only scored thirteen points from the stripe. Phoenix forced 21 Reign turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Erica McCall (190-1995, college: Stanford) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Delia Moore (170, college: CS East Bay) chipped in 9 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals.
