McCall's 23 points give her Player of the Week award

28-year old forward Erica McCall (190-F-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for Bay Area Phoenix and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
She had the game-high 23 points for Phoenix in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Swish (#2, 7-3) with 35-point margin 88-53. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Phoenix maintains the 4th position in WPBA . Phoenix is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-5 record. McCall just recently signed at Phoenix and it was her first game, where she immediately became new team's leader. Stanford University graduate has very impressive stats this year. McCall is in league's top in points (4th best: 23.0ppg) and averages solid 81.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Iimar'I Thomas (178-G/F-2000) of Alameda Wolves. She is a swingman in her first season at Wolves. In the last game Thomas recorded an impressive 32 points. Bad luck as Wolves was edged by Blaze (8-2) 91-88. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Thomas is one of the most experienced players at Wolves and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 36.5ppg (#1).

Third place about best performers goes to guard Doris Jones (175-G-1998) of league's leader Bay City Blaze. Jones got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. She was a key player of Blaze, leading her team to a 91-88 win against #3 ranked Wolves in a game of the week. Blaze confirms their top position in the standings. Jones has a great season in WPBA. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.0ppg (8th best).
