Royals outrebounded Phoenix 47-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. American-Cambodian Mariah Cooks (185-1994, college: WSU) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Brijanee Moore (175, college: Talladega) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Aquira Decosta (185-2000, college: Sacramento St.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks and guard Maddison Glass (163-1997, college: A&M-Commerce) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Five Royals and four Phoenix players scored in double figures.

Guard NyDajah Jackson (168, college: GCU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Trinitee Cannon answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Hong Kong-American guard Stefanie Young (168, college: Occidental) added 13 points and 6 assists in the effort for Riptide. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
