Johnson joins the Hayward Reign

Toynetta Johnson

Hayward Reign confirmed in their roster 31-year old point guard Toynetta Johnson (5'8''-1992, college: UWF). Johnson played there last season. She also played for Dragons in Dominican Rep. TSF where in 14 games she recorded 14.2ppg, 7.6rpg, 5.8apg (top 3), 3.7spg (leader !!!) and 1.9bpg. Johnson helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals. Quite impressive season as she was voted Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic TSF Defensive Player of the Year and selected to Honorable Mention and to the All-Star Game.
She is quite experienced player. Her career allowed her to visit three different continents, while she played in four different countries. Johnson tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. She has played previously professionally in Germany (Rheinland), Mexico (Tapatias), WUBA (GIE Matrix and Houston Lady Havok) and Dominican Republic (Hidalgas).
Johnson won WUBA Southern Conference championship title in 2017.
She graduated from University of West Florida in 2014 and it will be her eleventh season as a professional player. Johnson played also for Pearl River Community College for 2 years.
