Aquira Decosta (ex Fuerza Regia) signs at Bay Area Phoenix

Bay Area Phoenix landed 23-year old 6-1 forward Aquira Decosta (college: Sacramento State) for new season. Decosta moved there from Fuerza Regia in Mexican LNBPF where she started the season. In four games just recently she averaged 6.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.8spg. The last season she played at Alvik Basket in Swedish Damligan. In 15 LNBPF games she was the best scorer with impressive 23.7ppg and recorded 16.7rpg (leader !!!), 2.9spg (in top 2) and 1.2bpg. It was a very successful season in her career as she was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Swedish Damligan Import Player of the Year and League Player of the Week (3 times).
She represented USA at the World Championships U17 in Zaragoza (Spain) seven years ago. Decosta's team won Bronze and her stats at that event were 7 games: 6.6ppg, Reb-4 (10.1rpg), 1.4spg, Blocks-4 (2.0bpg), FGP: 32.1%, FT: 71.4%.
Decosta graduated from Sacramento State in 2022 and it will be her first season in pro basketball. She played also for Loyola Marymount University for one year.
