 Asheville won NBDL Championship
Asheville Altitude is official NBDL 2004 Season Champion after they adged Huntsville Flights in the overtime NBDL Delta Air Lines Postseason Classic final game 108-106.
The hero of the last minute was Antonio Meeking (203-F-81, college: Louisiana Tech), who had 18-foot jump shot in just 1.8 second left in overtime, which gave the victory to the Altitude. The best player of the game was Brandon Kurtz (208-C-78, college: Tulsa) of Altitude, who ended the game with 26 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks. He had a great help of Lavor Postell, who had 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The top players in the Flight team were Mateen Cleaves (188-G-77, college: Michigan St.) (26 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists) and Damone Brown (205-F-79, college: Syracuse) (22 points and 7 rebounds).

Asheville 116, Fayetteville 111: Asheville defeated Fayetteville last night to move on to the finals of the NBDL Delta Airlines Postseason Classic. Despite a 22-8 spurt by the Altitude to open the second quarter, the game was a tight struggle throughout. The Patriots trimmed the lead to eight points by halftime and then opened the third quarter with an 11-0 run to take a four-point lead (68-64). Kenny Satterfield (188-G-81, college: Cincinnati) and Junie Sanders (192-G-72, college: Cent.Oklahoma) had huge games offensively for the Patriots but it wasn't enough as the combination of Brandon Kurtz (208-C-78, college: Tulsa) and Kareem Reid (178-G-75, agent: Cronin Steve, college: Arkansas) for the Altitude were too much for the Patriots to overcome in the 4th quarter. Kurtz and Reid combined for 17 points and 9-of-13 free throws in the fourth to seal the win.

Asheville: Kurtz (24p+8rb), Reid (20p), Penigar (16p+5rb), Stevenson (11p+9rb)

Fayetteville: Satterfield (33p+6rb+6as), Sanders (24p+7rb+5as), Henderson (23p+7rb), Lucas (13p+8rb)
Huntsville 108, Charleston 100: The Huntsville Flight pulled off the upset in defeating the Charleston Lowgators in Charleston last night. The win advances the Flight to the finals of the NBDL Delta Airlines Postseason Classic where they will play the Asheville Altitude next week (April 24th) in Asheville. Damone Brown (205-F-79, college: Syracuse) scored 34 points and Erick Barkley (186-G-78, college: St.John's) added 33 in the upset win for Huntsville. Brown earned a measure of revenge against his former team by converting 8-of-20 field goal attempts, 13-of-15 from the free throw line and grabbing nine rebounds. Charleston waived Brown on March 16 and Huntsville acquired him on March 22.

Barkley made 11-of-17 from the floor and scored 16 points in the second quarter alone to give Huntsville a 59-49 lead at the half. He also connected on 11-of-13 free throw attempts for the game. With the game tied at 98, Brown hit a three-pointer to put the Flight up for good with 2:04 left to play. Barkley iced the game with a short jumper with 22 seconds left, putting Huntsville up 106-100, and then hit a pair of free throws with 12 seconds left for the final margin.

Tierre Brown (188-G-79, college: Mc Neese St.), the NBDL's most valuable player this season, led the Lowgators with 29 points. Ime Udoka (198-F-77, college: Portland St.) recorded a double-double for Charleston with 28 points and 12 rebounds.
