(from Brian Graham) The American Professional Basketball League (APBL) has opted to cease all business and basketball operations starting from May 24, 2019. The league has had a fantastic seven year run. The evolution of basketball in the greater metro areas of New York City , Baltimore and D.C is something that the league can no longer compete with. Over the last seven years the league has help hundreds of people continue to pursue their dreams of playing basketball at a higher level.
The last few years the league has been operating at a deficit that is no longer a reality within the basketball world. The combination of poorly run franchises and the delusional player have not only made it a financial liability, but also it has made the experience not enjoyable. Definitely, time to move on.
