APBL Season Opener On November 12

The APBL 2016-2017 campaign is set to kick off on Saturday November 12, 2016. Ten teams will compete in a slimmed-down league with less travel for teams.

The league will open with Maryland's favorite son, the Beltway Bombers, hosting one of the newest additions to the league in the Atlantic Coast Crusaders.

A triple header will be played throughout New York on opening night. Manhattan Pride host the Hudson Valley Kingz while the veteran New York City 524 will host New York Fearless. Wrapping the day long action will see the league owned and operated free agent team, APBL United, host another new team from Brooklyn - New York Crusaders. The New York Crusaders are led by Jean Martinez.

Seven teams return for the 2016-17 season, including two-time defending champion New Jersey Thunder. Beltway, Hudson Valley, Manhattan, Fearless, 524 and New York Black Eagles round out the lineup.
