(from Atlanta Aliens Front Office) Atlanta Aliens (4-0), took their talent on the road west of Georgia and faced two tough opponents in back to back games. The Aliens defeated Gulf Coast Gladiators in Mobile, Alabama 145-97 in the first game followed by defeating Mississippi Silverbacks in Starkville, Mississippi 141-120 for the second game to remain undefeated for the season. Against the Gulf Coast Gladiators, the Aliens inside force was unstoppable. The Gladiators came out red hot, knocking down perimeter shots keeping the game close in the first half. Unfortunately, in the second half the Gladiators had no answer for the dominant powerhouse Aliens in the middle and could not adjust. Eight different Alien players scored in double figures. Jarrell Tate (6'4''-G-1992, college: Bethesda) led the was with 26pts, Chris Cromartie (6'3''-G-1988, college: Gordon) 25pts and 17asts, Deangelo Anthony (6'0''-SG, college: Talladega) 22pts, Alex Bonner (6'2''-G-1995, college: LaGrange) 14pts, Nick Flemings (6'1''-G) 13pts, Kevin Stamps 11pts, Major Weems (6'3''-G) 10pts, Deandre Rice-Currie (6'6''-G, college: LASC) 8pts, Paul Harrison (6'9''-PF-1989, college: NGU) 7pts, Evan Jester (6'7''-F-1999, college: Georgia Tech) 7pts. Gladiators D. Henly led scorers with 40pts.
During the second game of back to back action, the Mississippi Silverbacks were hungry for the opportunity to upset the visiting Aliens and competed very well. With fresh legs, the Silverbacks immediately took control of the first quarter to gain a quick 10pts lead but that wasn't enough to tame the Aliens. The Atlanta Aliens flexed their muscles and took control immediately with their defensive pressure forcing multiple turnovers and regaining the lead by halftime. In the second half, the Aliens never lost their lead and slowly pulled away for the victory. The Aliens had six different players with 20pts or more. Jarrell Tate had 38pts, Chris Cromartie 28pts and 13asts, Paul Harrison 20pts, Alex Bonner 20pts, Nick Flemings 20pts, Evan Jester 10pts.
The Aliens will play their next game at home against the #13 Power Ranked North Alabama War Dogs.
