Mavericks win 2015 ABA Championship - Apr 12, 2015

The Shreveport/Bossier Mavericks took another clear win, 116-91, yesterday afternoon over the Miami Midnites in Game 2 of the ABA Championship Series, claiming the 2015 title.
Given the strong start of the Mavs, who won first quarter 29-13, non one at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum doubted yesterday about who was the favourite team.
Four Mavericks performed in double digits: the man of the game was this time P.J. Couisnard (6'4''-G/F-84, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group, college: Wichita St.), who ended his game with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assits. Tony Hooper (5'11''-G-87, college: La-Monroe) added 24 pts, 6 rebs, Anthony Jackson (5'11''-PG-85) 18 pts, 4 assists, 2 rebs and Josh Pace (6'5''-G/F-83, college: Syracuse) 16 pts and 6 rebs.
At the Midnites side, Raymond Taylor (5'6''-PG-90) completed an impressive 36 points losing effort, well assisted by Amir Celestine (6'1''-G) and Kenny Bellinger (6'1''-G-92) who scored 12 pts apiece.
For coach Steve Tucker and his Mavericks this is the second consecutive ABA title following an unbeaten regular season. Not bad....
