Aliens flattened the Hoopers

After defeating the Atlanta Crows 146-101 in their season opener, the Atlanta Aliens (2-0) traveled to Mobile, Alabama and defeated the pre-season #3 Power Ranked Gulf Coast Hoopers 139-128.
The Aliens knew they had their work cut out for them and was prepared to play before the hostile home crowd. Atlanta Aliens Head Coach Duck Richards warned his team that this game was going to be a shoot-out knowing that the Hoopers has great shooters on their team. As expected, both teams battled hard on the court and the Aliens managed to hold a narrow lead at halftime 72-58. With 4:00 minutes left in the game, the Hoopers caught fire and tied the score 110-110. Yet, the Aliens made their own run late in the 4th quarter to win the game. The Aliens had 7 players in double figures. 5-times ABA All-Star Chris Cromartie (6'3''-G-1988, college: Gordon) led the Aliens with a triple double 45pts, 12ast, 10rebs and 3stls. Former Georgia Tech ACC Player of the Year Tadric Jackson (6'2''-G-1994, college: Georgia Tech) had 26pts, Deangelo Anthony (6'0''-SG, college: Talladega) 23pts, Jarrell Tate (6'4''-G, college: Bethesda) 13pts, Kevin Stamps (6'8''-F, college: S.Wesleyan) 11pts, Danny Calloway (6'3''-G) 11pts, Alex Bonner (6'2''-G-1995, college: LaGrange) 10pts, Major Weems (6'3''-G) 3pts. Erik Thrash (5'11''-PG-1984) led the Hoopers in losing effort with 30pts.
The Atlanta Aliens will play the Southwest Warriors on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at home before traveling to Pensacola, Florida on December 3, 2022 to play against the #4 Power Rank Pensacola Lightning.
