Regular Season Round 13: Jelly Fam - Blue Checks 86-78

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Blue Checks (4-9) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Jelly Fam (4-9) 86-78 on Saturday. Jelly Fam made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Jelly Fam made 24 blocks. Torrey Brooks stepped up and scored 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners and Yandel German chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 blocks. Four Jelly Fam players scored in double figures. At the losing side Santonio Waide responded with 35 points (!!!) and 5 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and Angelo Dickerson scored 9 points and 4 assists. Jelly Fam moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Blue Checks. Blue Checks lost third consecutive game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
