There was a minor upset when 4th placedBlue Checks (9-8) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Jelly Fam (6-13) 82-71 on Saturday. Jelly Fam dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Blue Checks ' 36. Jelly Fam looked well-organized offensively handing out 82 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Jelly Fam made 12 blocks. French forward Thomas Bassong (197-2006) fired a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 23 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Jermel Thomas chipped in a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 16 assists. Josiah Parker produced a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 25 assists and 8 steals and guard Kaden Magwood (190) added 30 points, 23 assists and 5 steals respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Jelly Fam maintains seventh place with 6-13 record. Blue Checks lost fourth consecutive game.
