Regular Season Round 2: Baytown B. - Gueydan FD 60-72

An exciting game was played in Baytown. Flying Ducks faced Bobcats. Guests from defeated host Bobcats 72-60. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Gueydan made 8 blocks. Corey Alpough (204-1994, college: UCO) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Maurice Redmond (192-1994, college: Wayland Baptist) chipped in 10 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Four Flying Ducks players scored in double figures. Flying Ducks' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Aiden Purcell (197-2006) responded with 7 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Waymond Hayes scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Flying Ducks will meet Huntsville D. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bobcats will play against Cypress V. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
