Very important is a home loss of third rankedShooting Stars (11-13) against fourth ranked Alliance (9-15) on Sunday night. Host Shooting Stars were defeated by Alliance in Toronto 92-80 . Montreal forced 19 Scarborough turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American guard Tavis Smith (191-1999, college: Belm.Abbey) nailed 23 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Brandon Porter (206, college: CPP, agency: Momentum SM) accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds. Smith is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Michael Foster Jr (207-2003) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Aaron Best (193-1992, college: TMU) added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Scarborough in the defeat. Four Montreal and five Scarborough players scored in double figures. Montreal maintains fourth place with 9-15 record. Scarborough at the other side keeps the third position with 13 games lost. They share it with Winnipeg.
