Regular Season Round 20: Scarborough - Vancouver 95-102

Date: August 8, 2025
An interesting game for Bandits (17-5) which played road game in Toronto against one of their biggest challengers Shooting Stars (11-11). First ranked Bandits managed to get a 7-point victory 102-95. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shooting Stars. Vancouver looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by forward Tyrese Samuel (208-2000, college: Florida) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 32 points and 18 rebounds and Australian swingman Mitch Creek (196-1992) supported him with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 18 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists by American guard Terquavion Smith (193-2002, college: NC State) did not help to save the game for Scarborough. His fellow American import guard Donovan Williams (198-2001, college: UNLV) added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vancouver maintains first position with 17-5 record. Loser Shooting Stars dropped to the second place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Ottawa. Vancouver will meet league's second-placed Ottawa on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Scarborough will play against Montreal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
