Regular Season Round 20: Saskatchewan - Edmonton 94-100

Date: August 6, 2025
No shocking result in a game when third ranked Stingers (12-9) beat 5th ranked Rattlers (6-15) in Saskatoon 100-94 on Wednesday. Edmonton dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Rattlers's 42 and made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Edmonton looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by forward Nick Hornsby (201-1995, college: Sacramento St.) who scored that evening 20 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and swingman Scottie Lindsey (196-1996, college: Northwestern) supported him with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Stingers' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 27 points by guard Tevian Jones (201-2000, college: SUU) did not help to save the game for Saskatchewan. Guard Jordan Bowden (197-1997, college: Tennessee) added 24 points and 6 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Edmonton maintains third position with 12-9 record having six points less than leader Niagara. Loser Rattlers keeps the fifth place with 15 games lost. Edmonton will meet at home Winnipeg (#4) in the next round. Saskatchewan will play against Brampton and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
