Regular Season Round 15: Saskatchewan - Calgary 81-103

Rather expected game in Saskatoon where 5th ranked Rattlers (4-14) were crushed by second ranked Surge (12-5) 103-81 on Tuesday. Calgary forced 19 Saskatchewan turnovers and outrebounded them 37-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was point guard Evan Gilyard II (180-1998, college: UMKC, agency: JCK Sports Group) who scored 30 points and 4 steals. Forward Greg Brown III (201-2001, college: Texas) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Gilyard II is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Surge players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Tevian Jones (201-2000, college: SUU) who recorded 31 points and guard Nate Pierre-Louis (193-1998, college: Temple) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Rattlers' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Surge. Calgary keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Niagara. Saskatchewan lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Brampton. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
