Regular Season Round 11: Brampton - Niagara 91-66

Leading River Lions (7-5) recorded its fifth loss in Hamilton on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by fifth ranked Honey Badgers (4-8) 91-66. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian-Vincentian guard Koby McEwen (193-1997, college: Weber St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Forward David Muenkat (201-2000, college: St.Francis X., agency: Players Group) accounted for 24 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Honey Badgers players scored in double figures. American guard Khalil Ahmad (191-1996, college: CS Fullerton, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and British-Canadian guard Kimbal Mackenzie (185-1996, college: Bucknell) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for Niagara in the defeat. Brampton maintains fifth place with 4-8 record. Loser River Lions still keeps top position with five games lost. Brampton will meet at home league's second-placed Calgary in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Niagara will play against Winnipeg and hope to secure a win.
