Top rankedRiver Lions (7-4) recorded its fourth loss in Toronto. Visitors were rolled over by second ranked Shooting Stars (6-5) 102-70 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of River Lions. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Scarborough dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to River Lions 's 30. Scarborough players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Terquavion Smith (193-2002, college: NC State) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Jamaican-American forward Joirdon Nicholas (206-1999, college: Texas Southern) contributed with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Khalil Ahmad (191-1996, college: CS Fullerton, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Jahvon Henry-Blair (193-1998, college: Georgetown) added 13 points in the effort for Niagara. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Scarborough maintains second position with 6-5 record having just one point less than leader Niagara. Niagara at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost.
