Regular Season Round 6: Saskatchewan - Vancouver 76-101

Date: June 8, 2025
The game between Top Four teams took place in Saskatoon. 3rd ranked host Rattlers (2-5) were smashed by first ranked Bandits (6-1) 101-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rattlers. Vancouver made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Tyrese Samuel (208-2000, college: Florida) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Point guard Shamar Givance (179-1999, college: UTEP) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Bandits' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was British-Canadian guard Cody John (190-1996, college: Weber St.) who recorded 18 points and 4 steals and American guard Jamir Chaplin (193-2000, college: UALR) added 16 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vancouver maintains first position with 6-1 record. Loser Rattlers dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. Vancouver will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Saskatchewan will play against Scarborough (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
