Regular Season Round 5: Brampton - Winnipeg 81-74

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 4th placedSea Bears (2-4) lost to fifth ranked Honey Badgers (1-5) in Hamilton 74-81 on Friday. Brampton made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game, while Winnipeg only scored eleven points from the stripe. They outrebounded Winnipeg 40-26 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Canadian-Vincentian guard Koby McEwen (193-1997, college: Weber St.) nailed 23 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and American guard Quinndary Weatherspoon (190-1996, college: MSU) accounted for 17 points and 4 assists. Four Honey Badgers players scored in double figures. American Jalen Harris (196-1998, college: Nevada) came up with 17 points and 6 assists and the other American import guard Terry Roberts (190-2000, college: Georgia) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively for Winnipeg in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Honey Badgers maintains fifth place with 1-5 record, which they share with Edmonton. It was Winnipeg 's fourth loss in a row. They dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Saskatchewan.
