LeadingSurge (5-2) recorded its second loss in Calgary. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Rattlers (2-4) 87-84 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Surge. American guard Nate Pierre-Louis (193-1998, college: Temple) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and British-Canadian guard Cody John (190-1996, college: Weber St.) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Rattlers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Greg Brown III (201-2001, college: Texas) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import point guard Jameer Nelson Jr (185-2000, college: TCU) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Saskatchewan moved-up to third place, which they share with Winnipeg. Calgary at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. Saskatchewan will play against league's leader Vancouver in Langley in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Calgary will play at home against Ottawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
