Regular Season Round 2: Vancouver - Niagara 109-72

Bandits smashed River Lions in Langley 109-72. Vancouver outrebounded Niagara 46-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. Vancouver looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Niagara's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Vancouver made 7 blocks. American guard Kyle Mangas (193-1999, college: IWU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Tyrese Samuel (208-2000, college: Florida) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Forward Guillaume Payen-Boucard (198-1990, college: Carleton) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Antonio Davis (190-1996, college: Mid-Continent) added 13 points in the effort for Niagara. Five Vancouver and four Niagara players scored in double figures. River Lions will play next round against Saskatchewan trying to get back on the winning streak. Bandits will try to continue on its current victory against Edmonton at home.
