Regular Season Round 1: Saskatchewan - Vancouver 65-105

Date: May 16, 2025
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Rattlers in Saskatoon. Hosts were rolled over by Bandits 105-65. Vancouver dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Rattlers's 40. Vancouver outrebounded Saskatchewan 43-31 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Tyrese Samuel (208-2000, college: Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds (on 17-of-22 shooting from the field). American guard Izaiah Brockington (193-1999, college: Iowa St.) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Bandits players scored in double figures. American guard Jamir Chaplin (193-2000, college: UALR) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Nate Pierre-Louis (193-1998, college: Temple) added 16 points in the effort for Saskatchewan. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bandits will play against Niagara at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rattlers will play against Edmonton and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
