The World Basketball Association Exposure League (WBA) has finalized its regular-season schedule and seven teams are set to tip off the league's eighth season Friday, May 20th.
There will be seven teams competing for bragging rights in the WBA this season, which runs from May to July. Included is a mix of new and returning franchises. The two-time reigning league champions Gwinnett Majic hope to show their dominance again. Returning franchises Marietta Storm, Rome Gladiators, and Conyers Court Kings hope to knock the Majic off the top spot. Three new franchises, Upsate Heat, Tennessee Tornadoes and Gainesville Knights, are looking to make some noise in league play as well.
After blowing out the Franklin Knights in last years championship game 133-113, the Majic begin their quest for a three-peat at home on May 20th against the Heat. The other opening night matchup pits the Kings and Gladiators against one another in Rome.
There are three more games scheduled for May 21 as the Storm and Tornadoes see their first action of the season against the Majic and Gladiators, respectively. Additionally, the Court Kings and Heat square off in Conyers. The full opening weekend schedule is as follows:
*All games are scheduled to tip off at 7:30 PM EST.
May 20
Conyers Court Kings @ Rome Gladiators
Upstate Heat @ Gwinnett Majic
May 21
Gwinnett Majic @ Marietta Storm
Tennessee Tornadoes @ Rome Gladiators

Each team will play 10 regular-season games before the playoffs (with the exception of the Gainesville Knights), which are scheduled to start in mid-July. For more information go to the league's web site at www.wbaball.net
