The Franklin Knights (2-2) won their second straight game and moved their record to the .500 mark with a 118-95 win over the Decatur Court Kings in a World Basketball Association Exposure League (WBA) game at the A-Game Sportsplex in Franklin, Tenn. Saturday night.
Jerrell Houston (6'8''-F-85, college: Tennessee St.) led Franklin with 27 points, eight rebounds, six blocked shots, five assists and four steals. Eddie Ard
(6'5''-G/F-85, agency: Hart Sports Mngm, college: Lipscomb) netted 24 points with five rebounds and two assists, Myles Thrash (6'0''-G-77, college: Stillman) pitched in 14, Josh Goodwin (6'3''-G-84, college: Belmont) had 12 and the duo of Maurice Williams (6'2''-G-83, college: Los Medanos JC) and Patrick Chambers (6'7''-77, college: Arkansas-Pine Bluff) both had 10 points and combined for 13 rebounds.
Decatur (0-3) was led by Marquis Wright (6'8''-F/C-80, college: Alabama), who had 22 points and six rebounds. Anthony Wilkins (6'7''-G-80, college: Kent St.) had 15 points and seven rebounds, Marcus Dixon (6'9''-F-84, college: Albany St.) had 14 and six rebounds, Hakeem Scott (6'0''-G) netted 12 with six rebounds and six assists and Miguel Morton (6'10''-F-83, college: Columbus St.) had 12 and six rebounds in the loss.
Both teams are off until June 4, when the teams face off again, this time at Agnes Scott College in Decatur. Tipoff for that game is set for 7 p.m.
The WBA Exposure League serves as a training ground to develop players on and off the court. Emphasis is placed on exposure, development, community involvement, and most importantly providing an exciting brand of basketball and entertainment.
