Top ranked River Lions (14-7) recorded its seventh loss in Toronto on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Shooting Stars (11-11) 81-64. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Scarborough had a 38-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Michael Foster Jr (207-2003) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Guard Terquavion Smith (193-2002, college: NC State) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Ronald Curry (193-1993, college: JMU) produced 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Scarborough moved-up to second place. Niagara at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. Scarborough are looking forward to face league's leader Vancouver in Langley in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Niagara will play on the road against Edmonton and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Stingers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Saskatchewan maintains fifth place with 6-15 record. Edmonton at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Saskatchewan will play against league's second-placed Calgary on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Edmonton will play against the league's leader Niagara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Langley. First ranked Bandits faced 4th placed Sea Bears. Host Bandits (17-5) smashed guests from Winnipeg (9-12) 106-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sea Bears. It was a great evening for Mitch Creek who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side Simi Shittu responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Sea Bears' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vancouver maintains first place with 17-5 record. Loser Sea Bears keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. Vancouver will meet league's second-placed Scarborough in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Winnipeg will play against Brampton and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
