Regular Season Round 18: Niagara - Ottawa 109-97

Rather predictable result in Niagara where first ranked River Lions (14-6) defeated 3rd ranked Blackjacks (9-11) 109-97 on Saturday. Niagara looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Jahvon Henry-Blair (193-1998, college: Georgetown) who scored 23 points. American guard Khalil-Ullah Ahmad (191-1996, college: CS Fullerton) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Shamar Givance (179-1999, college: UTEP) who recorded 20 points and 7 assists and guard Keevan Veinot (193-1998, college: Dalhousie) added 20 points and 5 assists respectively. Five Niagara and four Ottawa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Niagara maintains first position with 14-6 record, which they share with Vancouver. Loser Blackjacks keeps the third place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Winnipeg.
