Regular Season Round 18: Montreal - Saskatchewan 89-72

There was a minor upset in Montreal where their close opponent Rattlers (6-14) were defeated by fifth ranked Alliance (6-14) 89-72 on Friday. Montreal made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Saskatchewan turnovers. Montreal looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Guillaume Payen-Boucard (198-1990, college: Carleton) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. American Ahmed Hill (196-1995, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Emmanuel Bandoumel (193-1998, college: Nebraska) who recorded 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and center Jaden Bediako (208-2000, college: Seton Hall) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montreal moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Saskatchewan and Brampton. Saskatchewan lost fifth consecutive game.
