Rather predictable result in Saskatoon where second ranked Stingers (12-7) defeated 5th ranked Rattlers (6-11) 91-87 on Thursday. Edmonton dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Rattlers's 44. The best player for the winners was American forward Nick Hornsby (201-1995, college: Sacramento St.) who scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Brody Clarke (203-1996, college: Alberta) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds. Stingers' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Teddy Allen (198-1998, college: NM State) who recorded 24 points, 8 assists and 4 steals and center Jaden Bediako (208-2000, college: Seton Hall) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Edmonton maintains second place with 12-7 record having just two point less than leader Niagara. Loser Rattlers dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Brampton. Edmonton will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Saskatchewan will play against Winnipeg (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
