Regular Season Round 12: Vancouver - Saskatchewan 99-70

Date: July 7, 2024
Not a big story in a game in Langley where 5th ranked Rattlers (5-9) were rolled over by second ranked Bandits (10-4) 99-70 on Sunday. Vancouver made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Saskatchewan turnovers. Vancouver looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Saskatchewan's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Vancouver made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was American guard Taze Moore (196-1998, college: Houston) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Koby McEwen (193-1997, college: Weber St.) chipped in 30 points and 6 rebounds. Five Bandits players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Teddy Allen (198-1998, college: NM State) who recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Canadian-Trinidad and Tobago guard Cody John (190-1996, college: Weber St.) added 17 points respectively. Rattlers' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vancouver maintains second position with 10-4 record behind leader Niagara. Saskatchewan lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Vancouver will meet Calgary (#4) on the road in the next round. Saskatchewan will play against Winnipeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
