Regular Season Round 7: Vancouver - Saskatchewan 98-85

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Langley. First ranked Bandits faced 3rd placed Rattlers. Host Bandits (7-1) defeated guests from Saskatoon (5-3) 98-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rattlers. Vancouver made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Vancouver outrebounded Saskatchewan 40-28 including 25 on the defensive glass. Vancouver looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for guard Taze Moore (196-1998, college: Houston) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Power forward Nick Ward (205-1997, college: Michigan St.) helped adding 21 points and 7 rebounds. Four Bandits players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Elijah Harkless (193-2000, college: UNLV, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Bryson Williams (203-1998, college: Texas Tech) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Bandits have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Vancouver maintains first place with 7-1 record. Loser Rattlers keeps the third position with three games lost. Vancouver will meet Winnipeg (#5) on the road in the next round. Saskatchewan will play against Calgary and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
