Regular Season Round 5: Brampton - Saskatchewan 69-76
Date: June 7, 2024
An interesting game forRattlers (4-2) which played road game in Hamilton against their close opponent Honey Badgers (2-5). Third ranked Rattlers managed to get a 7-point victory 76-69 . Rattlers brought some defensive toughness making 12 blocks. American Jalen Harris (196-1998, college: Nevada) stepped up and scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Maurice Calloo (208-1999, college: Oregon St., agency: Interperformances) chipped in 21 points and 11 rebounds. Shamiel Stevenson (198-1998, college: Nebraska) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Javonte Cooke (198-1999, college: WSSU) scored 14 points. Honey Badgers' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Saskatchewan moved-up to second place, which they share with Edmonton. Brampton lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the third position with five games lost. Saskatchewan will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Brampton will play on the road against Saskatchewan in Saskatoon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
