Regular Season Round 20: Niagara - Montreal 98-91

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked River Lions as it allowed them to take a leadership position. River Lions defeated 9th ranked Alliance in Niagara 98-91. River Lions looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Khalil Ahmad (191-1996, college: CS Fullerton) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and forward TJ Lall (198-1996, college: Carleton) who added 5 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. American Ahmed Hill (196-1995, college: Virginia Tech) responded with 26 points and his fellow American import guard Treveon Graham (198-1993, college: VCU) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Alliance's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. River Lions have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Alliance lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 13 games lost.
