Important game to mention about took place in Saskatoon. Fourth ranked Surge (12-8) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 8th ranked Rattlers (8-12) 92-89 on Friday evening. Surge made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The winners were led by guard Stefan Smith (188-1999, college: St.John's, agency: Players Group) who scored that evening 14 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and guard Sean Miller-Moore (193-1998, college: GCU) supported him with 16 points and 5 assists. Five Surge players scored in double figures. Even 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists by American point guard Justin Wright-Foreman (183-1997, college: Hofstra) did not help to save the game for Rattlers. His fellow American import forward Malik Benlevi (198-1997, college: Georgia St.) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Surge have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Ottawa and Winnipeg. Rattlers at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Vancouver and Brampton.
