Regular Season Round 19: Brampton - Scarborough 103-86

Another interesting game for Honey Badgers (8-10) which hosted in Hamilton against 4th placed Shooting Stars (10-8). Eighth ranked Honey Badgers had an easy win 103-86. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Shooting Stars. Honey Badgers made 25-of-29 charity shots (86.2 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a great evening for Shamiel Stevenson (198-1998, college: Nebraska, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!). American guard Christian Vital (188-1997, college: UConn) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side American point guard Anthony Barber (188-1994, college: NC State) responded with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Isiaha Mike (203-1997, college: SMU) scored 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Shooting Stars' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place. Shooting Stars at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Honey Badgers will play against higher ranked River Lions (#3) in Niagara in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shooting Stars will play at home against Bandits and hope to get back on the winning track.
