Regular Season Round 17: Montreal - Scarborough 80-83

A very close game took place in Montreal between Shooting Stars and Alliance. Fourth ranked Shooting Stars (9-7) got a very close victory on the road over 7th ranked Alliance (7-10). Shooting Stars managed to escape with a 3-point win 83-80 on Wednesday evening. Shooting Stars outrebounded Alliance 49-36 including 21 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Chaundee Brown Jr. (196-1998, college: Michigan) who scored 32 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Isiaha Mike (203-1997, college: SMU) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Shooting Stars' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Treveon Graham (198-1993, college: VCU) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Nathan Cayo (201-1997, college: Richmond) added 21 points respectively for the hosts. Four Alliance players scored in double figures. Shooting Stars moved-up to third place, which they share with Niagara. Loser Alliance dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Shooting Stars will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Alliance will play against Honey Badgers (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
