Regular Season Round 16: Scarborough - Niagara 90-84

The most important game in the last round took place in Toronto between third ranked River Lions (9-7) and sixth ranked Shooting Stars (8-7) on Sunday night. River Lions were defeated by Shooting Stars in a tough game on the road 84-90. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of River Lions. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Anthony Barber (188-1994, college: NC State) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Kassius Robertson (190-1994, college: Missouri, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Khalil Ahmad (191-1996, college: CS Fullerton) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists and center Eddie Ekiyor (206-1997, college: Carleton) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for River Lions. Four River Lions players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shooting Stars moved-up to fourth place. River Lions at the other side keep the third position with seven games lost. Shooting Stars are looking forward to face Alliance (#7) in Montreal in the next round. River Lions will play on the road against the league's leader Blackjacks (#1) in Ottawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
