Regular Season Round 15: Winnipeg - Saskatchewan 96-99

The most exciting game of round 15 in the CEBL took place in Winnipeg. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-best Sea Bears (9-6) to tenth ranked Rattlers (6-9) 99-96 on Tuesday evening. Rattlers dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sea Bears' 32. The best player for the winners was American point guard Justin Wright-Foreman (183-1997, college: Hofstra) who scored 29 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import guard Quenton DeCosey (196-1993, college: Temple) chipped in 20 points. Four Rattlers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Teddy Allen (198-1998, college: NM State) who recorded 36 points (!!!) and Nigerian-American swingman EJ Anosike (201-1998, college: CS Fullerton) added 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) respectively. Sea Bears' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rattlers moved-up to eighth place. Sea Bears at the other side keep the second position with six games lost. They share it with Niagara. Rattlers are looking forward to face higher ranked Stingers (#6) in Edmonton in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sea Bears will play at home against Surge (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
