Regular Season Round 14: Niagara - Brampton 87-79

Rather predictable result in Niagara where fourth ranked River Lions (8-6) defeated 8th ranked Honey Badgers (5-8) 87-79 on Friday. River Lions made 28-of-34 free shots (82.4 percent) during the game. Strangely Honey Badgers outrebounded River Lions 43-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Lloyd Pandi (193-1999, college: Carleton) who scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Khalil Ahmad (191-1996, college: CS Fullerton) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. River Lions' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Christian Vital (188-1997, college: UConn) produced 26 points and 6 rebounds and forward Prince Oduro (203-1998, college: Detroit, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five River Lions and four Honey Badgers players scored in double figures. River Lions have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Honey Badgers lost fourth consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. River Lions will meet at home Shooting Stars (#4) in the next round. Honey Badgers will play against the league's leader Blackjacks (#1) and hope to secure a win.
