Regular Season Round 12: Ottawa - Saskatchewan 97-86
Date: June 29, 2023
No shocking result in a game in Ottawa where third ranked Blackjacks (7-5) defeated bottom-ranked Rattlers (4-7) 97-86 on Thursday. Worth to mention a great performance of Sudanese-Australian forward Deng Adel (201-1997, college: Louisville, agency: Verus Management) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Jackson Rowe (201-1997, college: CS Fullerton) who added 21 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Blackjacks players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Justin Wright-Foreman (183-1997, college: Hofstra) with 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field) and guard Mike Nuga (188-1997, college: UNLV) scored 13 points. Rattlers' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Blackjacks have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Scarborough. Loser Rattlers dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Blackjacks will meet at home league's leader Sea Bears in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rattlers will play against River Lions (#6) and hope to secure a win.
