Very important is a home loss of second ranked Surge (7-6) against fourth ranked Shooting Stars (7-5) on Wednesday night. Host Surge was defeated by Shooting Stars in Calgary 79-65. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Shooting Stars dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Surge's 44. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Anthony Barber (188-1994, college: NC State) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 4 assists and forward Thomas Kennedy (206-2000) who added 18 points and 13 rebounds during the contest.
