Regular Season Round 11: Montreal - Edmonton 93-88

The most shocking disappointment of round 11 in the CEBL was a road defeat of 4th placed Stingers (5-5) to eighth ranked Alliance (5-7) 93-88. It was a great evening for forward Nathan Cayo (201-1997, college: Richmond) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American Ahmed Hill (196-1995, college: Virginia Tech) helped adding 28 points and 5 rebounds. Brody Clarke (203-1996, college: Alberta) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Nick Hornsby (201-1995, college: Sacramento St.) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Alliance and four Stingers players scored in double figures. Stingers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alliance maintains eighth place with 5-7 record. Stingers at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Niagara. Alliance are looking forward to face Rattlers (#9) in Saskatoon in the next round. Stingers will play at home against Shooting Stars (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
