Regular Season Round 11: Saskatchewan - Scarborough 79-65

Date: June 25, 2023
Bottom-ranked Rattlers managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they won against sixth-ranked Shooting Stars in Saskatoon 79-65. They outrebounded Shooting Stars 48-35 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Justin Wright-Foreman (183-1997, college: Hofstra) who led the winners and scored 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Finnish guard Trey Niemi (185-1998) accounted for 12 points and 4 assists for the winning side. American center Kyree Walker (198-2000) came up with 15 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import point guard Anthony Barber (188-1994, college: NC State) added 18 points and 4 steals respectively for Shooting Stars in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rattlers (4-6) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Vancouver. Shooting Stars at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with Ottawa. Rattlers will play against higher ranked Blackjacks (#3) in Ottawa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shooting Stars will play on the road against Stingers in Edmonton and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
