Regular Season Round 10: Niagara - Ottawa 87-101

The most important game in the last round took place in Niagara between third ranked River Lions (5-5) and seventh ranked Blackjacks (5-5) on Saturday night. River Lions were defeated by Blackjacks at home 87-101. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of River Lions. Blackjacks made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Blackjacks had a 32-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Jackson Rowe (201-1997, college: CS Fullerton) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Nigerian-Canadian Caleb Agada (196-1994, college: Ottawa, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Guard Jahvon Henry-Blair (193-1998, college: Georgetown) replied with 22 points and 6 rebounds and forward TJ Lall (198-1996, college: Carleton) added 11 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals in the effort for River Lions. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blackjacks moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated River Lions. Blackjacks is looking forward to face Honey Badgers (#7) in Hamilton in the next round. River Lions will have a break next round.
