Regular Season Round 9: Winnipeg - Vancouver 93-84

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sea Bears as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Sea Bears defeated 6th ranked Bandits in Winnipeg 93-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bandits. Sea Bears players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for American guard Teddy Allen (198-1998, college: NM State) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. British-Canadian guard Glen Yang (193-1996, college: Mount Royal) contributed with 14 points and 7 assists for the winners. Sea Bears' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard MJ Walker (196-1998, college: FSU) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Austrian-Georgian forward Giorgi Bezhanishvili (206-1998, college: Illinois) added 12 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Bandits. Five Bandits players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Bandits at the other side dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Ottawa. Bandits will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Sea Bears will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Rattlers at Saskatoon.
