Very expected game in Hamilton where 10th ranked Bandits (2-4) were crushed by fourth ranked Honey Badgers (4-2) 98-74 on Friday. Honey Badgers made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Bandits turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Christian Vital (188-1997, college: UConn) who scored 27 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Koby McEwen (193-1997, college: Weber St.) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Honey Badgers players scored in double figures. American guard MJ Walker (196-1998, college: FSU) produced 26 points and the other American import forward Nick Ward (203-1997, college: Michigan St.) added 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Honey Badgers have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Ottawa. Loser Bandits dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Niagara. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
