Rather predictable result in Niagara where seventh ranked River Lions (2-4) defeated bottom-ranked Shooting Stars (1-4) 99-81 on Thursday. River Lions made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. River Lions had a 33-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Shooting Stars' players. Center Eddie Ekiyor (206-1997, college: Carleton) fired 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Jahvon Henry-Blair (193-1998, college: Georgetown) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman Kameron Chatman (203-1996, college: Detroit) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Anthony Barber (188-1994, college: NC State) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four River Lions and five Shooting Stars players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. River Lions maintains seventh position with 2-4 record, which they share with Vancouver. Shooting Stars lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with four games lost. River Lions will meet at home Bandits (#7) in the next round. Shooting Stars will have a break next round.
